St Maximilian Kolbe "The Greatest Poison of our Time is Indifference" T-Shirt
St Maximillian Kolbe was a Polish Franciscan priest who was arrested in 1941 and sent to Auschwitz after offering refuge to Jews fleeing the Holocaust. In July of that year, 10 men in the camp were sentenced to death by starvation in retaliation for an escaped prisoner. Kolbe took the place of one of the men who was terrified for his wife and children. Miraculously, Kolbe was still alive after two weeks with no food or water and the Nazis executed him with an injection of carbolic acid.
